I have bought travel insurance multiple times in the past, but this was the first time I actually filed a claim. The process to file the claim online was very easy to use. I received the approval to my claim only one day after I filed it and a check arrived in the mail a week later. I was very impressed and would definitely use Generali Global Assistance for further travel insurance needs.

My flight was cancelled a few hours before midnight of the day we were supposed to travel. Because of the timing, the plan declined to cover for travel delay or interruption. Apart from medical coverage or a cancellation while we were on the way to the airport, this plan is filled with loopholes - doesn't really cover much and was quite expensive for my family.

I didn't need to file any claims on the insurance, so as far as I know, the coverage was good. I hope I never have to file a claim on travel insurance but was glad to have the coverage in case I needed it. There were others on the trip who had illnesses and injuries, and saw first had, the issues for those who didn't have any insurance.
