The pre-existing condition coverage was hard to understand. I don't understand what the first date of purchasing my trip and the last payment I made had anything to do with a pre-existing condition.

    Thank you for your review. The waiver of Pre Existing Conditions is a time sensitive benefit. If you wait too long, or on some plans purchase after you have made your final trip payment, coverage for pre existing medical conditions will no longer be available. You must buy travel insurance soon after your first trip payment/deposit in order to meet the deadline for qualification. Typically, the requirement is anywhere from 10-21 days after the deposit. This plan was better than the cruise line vacation plan. Since I had purchased a plan from Travelex for a previous trip, I had the peace of mind knowing that should something go awry during this “new normal,” I would be covered for the trip. Highly recommend using insuremytrip for cost comparison in selecting the right plan for you. For this trip, it was Travelex for me.

It was a good peace of mind. It was a requirement for my travel to Thailand but it never really came up with the airline and hotel reservation. The price was reasonable and was the minimum I needed to get through my booking. Everything was reserved smoothly and quickly with Insuremytrip.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Vacation Renter Protector
Insurance is always a waste of money unless you need it. With Covid complications I felt this was a good investment. Delighted we did not need to file a claim.
