Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) plans pay benefits if you should have a serious injury that results in dismemberment or loss of life. Loss of life benefits paid by these plans are in addition to any benefits paid by life insurance plans.

Provided a great deal of confidence that my wife would be financially protected should I meet an unanticipated and unlikely accident/death. At first, I was not going to tell her that I secured such a policy, but later changed my mind. I'm certain that she felt better from knowing. A trip begins when you leave your home. I was very disappointed to learn I was not covered during all phases of the trip, including all air travel whether in my home country or not. I would not purchase again unless commercial transportation inside my home country, USA, was included.

Coverage will end at 11:59 P.M. Eastern Standard Time on the earliest of the following: 1) The date Plan Participant is no longer in an Eligible Class; or 2) The date the Plan Participant returns to his or her Home Country unless otherwise covered under the Plan Document; or; 3) The expiration of 365 days from the Effective Date of Coverage; or 4) The date shown on the Schedule of Insurance issued by the Company."
