Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
You offer the worst, most unpredictable product in the world. We filed a claim because Covid caused a trip planner to cancel a trip. Of course, your managers in their wisdom saw that as a once in a lifetime opportunity to fleece your customers. We spend hours navigating your ungodly claims process, kept making calls for 9 months to see what the holdup was, and finally got the news that our claim was turned down. I am using every platform I can find to make people undeerstand how absolutely worthless you and your products are.
Don't have anyone from "Customer Care" call. We already tried that route. A joke. Like your whole company. Aptly named: "crumb."

Insurance is about peace of mind. When the airline unexpectedly cancelled my return flight, leaving me two more days in a far away, little touristed country, I was put at ease when GGA was immediately available by phone, adjusted the dates, & emailed the revised plan to my phone. Very comforting to experience that responsiveness, even though I wasn't actually submitting a claim. Peace of mind to know you were right there. Bravo! And thank you.????

My son and I went to visit family in La Paz, so I purchased the insurance for both of us for about $70. Best decision ever. I have never gotten sick when going home, so this was the first time I did a claim for travel insurance after getting HAPE while in La Paz. I went to the High Altitude Clinic there (IPPA), which I highly recommend. The clinic was a few thousand, but all but $50 was covered by my primary insurance and Allianz, which was definitely peace of mind when when you are sick. The clinic did an amazing job as did the travel insurance. I did have to pay out of pocket first and wait to get reimbursed, but after they provided me guidance on having to make a claim to my primary insurance before they can proceed, all was pretty straight forward. Definitely a travel must for us and will purchase again.

When I bought my plan I did not think I would need it. But when my travel partner could not go because of a emergency health condition, I filed for a refund for my airline ticket , American Airlines would not refund, then this insurance policy would not issue help because they said that my travel partner (my cousin) did not qualify as a family member for a refund. This policy from John Hancock was useless for me.

We were very sorry to hear that your claim was denied. Although the number one reason to cancel or interrupt your trip in most Comprehensive plans would be the unexpected sickness, injury or death of you, your traveling companion or your family member, all plans include a definition of family member. Unfortunately, the John Hancock Bronze, as well as all the other plans offered on our website, do not include cousins in their definition of family member, so your claim was denied.
Upon receiving your review comments, we assigned an advocate who called you and suggested that you appeal your claim resubmitting the forms stating that you canceled your trip due to the sickness of a "Traveling Companion" (which) means person(s) named and traveling under the same reservation as You, person(s) booked to accompany You on Your Covered Trip, person(s) sharing travel arrangements with You, or a person or persons with whom You have coordinated travel arrangements and intend to travel with You during the Covered Trip." However, you declined to file an appeal.
Should you change your mind, please call your advocate at (800) 487-4722 who will be glad to assist you in the process.
I guess the only thing that was a disappointment is that we were stranded in La Paz due to mechanical failure on our aircraft and it took us much longer to travel than we had originally planned. We incurred extra expenses and also missed work back in the States. When I called to inquire about making a claim to recoup some of those losses, I was told that I didn't have the proper policy. I will make a note of that next time that I travel.
