Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
I would not recommend them at all. I ended up having to contact them using social media several times to get them to pay attention to my claim. Even then it took months to get it approved and a check sent. They also didn't pay my misc. cost that happen after my flights were cancelled. I love insuremytrip and will continue to use them. I will not be buying from this specific insurance company again.

I've purchased trip insurance for a long time, but never needed to use it. This time, unfortunately, I did need to file a claim. While I had to submit multiple documents and receipts, the company clearly stated what was needed to process the claim. It was handled fairly and promptly. It's extremely important for those who purchase trip insurance to keep extensive records and receipts of everything purchased. If I had not kept this type of record/receipts, I would not have received reimbursement. This is to be expected but I can't emphasize this enough. Submission of the claim required scanning and submitting a large number of documents into a portal. Ultimately, I feel this was fair... but tedious. I would purchase this insurance plan again and am grateful that I had it.

Over all plan was wonderful. I was a little confused with who to contact with questions. The travel nurse herself was wonderful but the coordination between leaving the hospital and the trip home was a nightmare including me staying unaccompanied at a hotel for over 24 hours when her flight to me was delayed with no notification until I called hours after she was to arrive.

This plan was a waste to purchase. We missed a port on our cruise due to a national strike in France and never even went to France. Nationwide insurance would not count missing a port as trip interruption even though it was beyond our control . The cruiseline made the call, not us. And it was the main reason why we booked this trip. I had to go back and forth with them for months, providing documentation and receipts just to have them reject our claim. It was very frustrating. I'm considering just not buying insurance next time because it's not honored.

My wife baggage was delayed for about 18 hrs. I was filing a claim with I- travel website but for oddly some reasons it keeps asking to upload a documents which I provided for the first three steps. And there was a question if the airline settled the claim, there was no choices of N/A or no answers, so I couldn’t proceed to the next step. I called I- travel customer service, that’s a mistake on my part because the person I talked to kept saying use my desktop computer instead of my phone. She keeps saying my I-phone was the problem. With the amount of documents the website was asking, I rather use my phone to take photos and upload them. There were times that my conversation with this person became adversarial and my wife asked me to end the phone conversation. True to the point, you can find out if the travel company is good when you start making the claim. I should have trusted my own guts to stay with generali. I bought the insurance from them before and no issues when I made the claim. I have no idea how IMG has a high mark. I will not buy travel insurance from IMG again.

I didn't have to submit a claim but it was good peace of mind as I received emails and communication and felt secure with the service-I felt relieved knowing I was insured-thank you-on my trip to Antarctica.
