My brother passed away unexpectedly 8 days before our departure. We submitted everything online. I thought I would get a lot of prying questions, but did not. The insurance payment from Travelex was received 10 days or so after we submitted the death certificate. I was very satisfied.

I purchased the WorldTrips Preferred plan. My son fell ill two day before our return journey which resulted in having to reschedule and rebook our return flights as well as medical and hospital expenses. We were fully reimbursed for both. As many reviews mention, there is no way to monitor the progress of your claim but they were all processed within two weeks of filing. The only issue I had was the misunderstanding by Atlas of what my total insured amount was. This is where I have to give a shout out for InsureMyTrip. They were very proactive and assigned me a case representative and everything was sorted out within a day. Overall, I'm very pleased with the Atlas preferred insurance and InsureMyTrip and plan to get it on my next trip.

We don't have any major medical issues but decided to purchase insurance just in case. We didn't need to use the insurance on the trip but it was a relief knowing it was there if we needed it. Will use again in the future since the price was good.

I cancelled my trip prior to departure and any final cruise payments due to serious illness. The process to transfer this medical coverage was complicated and therefore we lost the $ .
