Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
My policy for CFAR was for 70% they tried to pay at 60% and said the policy issued to me was for that amount. When told it was from you and I had the policy they then agreed to pay the amount due.

I filed a straightforward claim for a relatively small amount of money, "cancel for any reason", and the proper paperwork was submitted at that time. I was informed today that the claim will not be reviewed for 60 BUSINESS DAYS, due to limited staffing, etc. This is unacceptable, and apparently I do not have any other means of expediting the process. Waiting 12 weeks for the claim process to BEGIN is not reasonable, and will prevent me from buying from Nationwide again, or recommending the company to anyone else.

I apologize for the delay with your claim. Prior to the pandemic, travel insurance claims were typically processed within 30 days provided that all necessary documentation was sent in. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the volume of requests has become quite overwhelming over the last year and the normal processing time for claims with most Providers in the travel insurance industry is around 3-4 months.
Travel Insured gets two stars simply based on the fact that they paid the claim as submitted. However, they lost three stars for multiple reasons. First, I'm very unimpressed with the ability to file a claim online as I kept getting a loop that wouldn't allow submission of the claim. Second, the lack of communication. The only emails I received were the original email sending me the paperwork to complete, three automated "we're sorry for the delay, thank you for your patience" emails and one automated "we've received your email" message. This email was for the second submission sent where I was sending additional information. I never received an acknowledgement for the original submission of the claim and had to call to confirm receipt. Third, I had to call numerous times to get updates. When I began to state that I felt the claim was taking too long, most of the agents I spoke to were polite and professional. One became defensive argumentative despite my statement that I didn't blame her personally and was commenting to put my complaint on record. In the end it took FOUR months and numerous calls to get my claim paid. Finally, when the adjuster called to let me know they were paying my claim, there was no apology for the extreme delay. This would have added a star to my review.
When I filed a claim with another insurer right after Hurricane Harvey hit, it only took two months. COVID has been going on for two years. They should be farther along than this in catching up to handling claims.

While fortunately we didn’t have to ‘use’ the plan, it was a great peace of mind while traveling that the plan was there to cover us if needed. Very affordable for the coverage you get in the plan.

Truthfully the plan was not used therefore can’t rate what the plan can actual do. I recommend if the plan is not needed during the trip maybe a portion should be reimburse.

I called the insurance company to enquire about filing a claim for an "itinerary change". One airline changed the time of one of my flights resulting in a 90 minute later arrival. This change resulted in being unable to catch a connecting flight with another airline. Because the change was less than 2 hours the airline wouldn't help me and said it was a "non-refundable" ticket. I was forced me to purchase a second ticket with another airline so I could catch my second flight. When I bought the insurance I purchased the most expensive one "cancel for any reason" insurance that was supposed to cover "itinerary change". The insurance company told me this "itinerary change" wasn't covered unless it occurred after I had already left on the trip or unless it was a cruise. I did not see anything written about these details in their fine print. I would not recommend this insurance, as it did nothing for me except cost me money.
