I had to file a claim because my plane had mechanical problems. which impacted my trip. Generali Global Assistance responded promptly to my claim and approved the claim. I always worry that that an insurance company will try to find a loophole in a claim to not pay and this was not the case. Highly recommended!!!

I had to contact customer service several times over the Easter holiday. They were excellent and answered all my questions. Very helpful! Thankful we didn't have to use it but it helped to provide peace of mind during these uncertain travel times.

I usually purchase insurance, since you never know! There was a little glitch, since I had purchased the insurance earlier in the year and the trip was postponed - again! So, I just wanted to transfer the original insurance to the new reservation. I had to go through a couple of "verifications" that I hadn't filed a claim against the first plan - which I didn't have to use since I didn't go on the trip. I thought the insurers should have known that, but all turned out ok. Thanks

With the unknown of both Covid and a family member with poor health, we felt comfortable insuring our vacation with the Plan we choose through InsureMyTrip (we searched for a plan that met our needs). It gave us peace of mind to know that our vacation funds would not be entirely lost if something unexpected happened. We have now returned from the trip and did not need to file a claim, but we would purchase a plan again for our next trip-- just for the peace of mind.

I contacted a representative because I had a concern that could have bound me over in Mexico for a couple more days. I learned that hotel accommodations were not covered by the policy, although it stated they were when I purchased the coverage. I will not be using BHT again, due to this false advertisement.

After reviewing this a little further, depending on the reason for staying a few extra days, some lodging expenses may have coverage. I cannot guarantee but the language in the plan states:
If Your Trip is delayed at least 5 consecutive hours from the original departure time and prevents You from reaching Your intended Destination the Company will reimburse you for only one delay per Insured, per Trip, up to the Maximum Limit shown in the Schedule. The Trip Delay benefit will cover Reasonable Additional Expenses until travel becomes possible to the originally scheduled Destination, as a result of a cancellation or delay Your Trip for one of the following Unforeseen events:
(a) Common Carrier delay;
(b) You or a Traveling Companion have lost or had stolen, your passports, travel documents, or money;
(c) reasons listed under Trip Cancellation and Interruption.
