Five weeks before the cruise that we purchased insurance for, my husband had emergency open heart surgery. Needless to say, we had to cancel. I filed for insurance reimbursement just after my husband returned from hospitalization and sent it along for processing. Having dealt with other slow-walking cruise insurance providers, I made a follow up phone call to check on the status of our claim about two weeks after I filed.
I was astounded to hear that our claim was already processed and the checks would be arriving shortly. We received our checks late last week. The process for reimbursement took about 3 weeks - dazzling speed. I will purchase any future cruise insurance from this firm again!

From beginning to end, the company's representative handled all questions and concerns in a very professional manner. Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip under the "for any reason" clause - the requested information was easy to provide and the entire refund took less than 10 VBIZ days once filed. I usually purchase trip insurance but have rarely used it other for baggage delay. Very glad I purchased it this time. Unfortunately, my trip needed to be cancelled due to a hurricane that devastated my region. The claim process was surprisingly smooth, and I am thoroughly impressed with how the insurance handled everything. The customer service team was quick to respond to my questions.
First of all, the claims submission process was straightforward. I filled out the necessary forms and sent in all of my receipts (thankfully kept in email). I received regular updates on the status of my claim. It was delayed a bit and I needed one additional document from the airline, but I received a notice that my reimbursement check would be sent to me five weeks after I initially filed the claim. It was a relief to get the financial support I needed after the inconvenience. I will definitely consider using this company for future trips!

My flight to Europe on a major U.S. airline was delayed and then cancelled leaving my nonrefundable and non-changeable tickets on a low cost European carrier useless. I had to repurchase tickets at the last minute at more than 2x the cost. After my trip, I submitted a claim with all the required documents and a little more than 2 weeks later I received a check for the full cost of the replacement airfare. I also submitted a receipt for my dinner at the airport during the delay and I received a separate check for that amount about a week later. I am very satisfied by my trip insurance purchase and will definitely buy from Generali again. The cost was well worth the peace of mind.

Absolutely horrible experience. Insureds’ flights were cancelled necessitating an extra night stay in a hotel. Submitted all required claim documentation in August. It’s now November and we still haven’t received a check even though the claim was approved over a month ago. I am disputing the charge for this policy on my Visa card. Do not use this company. Horrible and unresponsive.

In reviewing the file, we were able to confirm that a claim payment was sent on 10/18/2024, but due to a system error it was inadvertently sent to the wrong address. My husband and I thought that we were going to have to cancel our trip due to his mother having surgery. I emailed WorldTrips to question our options and was asked to call them. The lady was so sweet and informative. She assured me that with our canceled receipts we would be reimbursed for the full amount. Thankfully the surgery date was moved and we did not have to cancel our trip, but the peace of mind of knowing that we were covered during this stressful time was worth the small amount that we paid for insurance.
