Although we didn't have to file a claim on this trip, we have learned our lesson on the importance of trip insurance for overseas trips. We have had to utilize the services for insurance in the past and the experience with the carrier was superb. We would have lost a lot of money in medical services and cancelled reservations that were not refundable. We don't travel without it now.

Thank you for your review. Most plans come with a review period in which you are able to review the policy and cancel for a refund. Once you are outside of the review period typically no refund will be issued but we can request to transfer the policy to a future trip, to not lose the insurance premium.
