I have bought this insurance plan for my long trip to Europe. Was lucky that no interruption or big delays happened on my trip. Have some cancellations because of strike on the rail road but money were returned without delayed. Though I did not use "insure my trip" plan, think I will buy it again for my next trip

Information provided by the agent and carrier was reasonably clear and understandable. The follow up prior to departure was good and timely, helping to gather information that needs to be carried while on the trip. We did not have to test this policy so I can't rate that aspect of its quality. As with any insurance, its worthless if you don't understand it, know how or when it takes affect, or how to call on the services its provides while on the trip. I forwarded electric copies of the policy to myself, spouse, and family in the event I lacked the ability or capability to put various emergency facilities in affect.

On Call was just terrible. Multiple agents on every call. Repeated story to new representative every call. No one took notes and failed to follow Dr.'s orders.

Because I took out this plan close to the departure date the majority of the claim was not paid out. My trip was cancelled because the airline went into administration the day before I was due to fly. The policy 'small print' meant my flight was never covered on this policy yet the coverage was accepted by Travelex when it was applied for. The system for signing on clients at Travelex needs to be improved and a policy should be declined if full coverage is clearly not stated at sign-up. Whilst I understand that all policies have restrictions and limitations, in this particular case I was left feeling that the old clichés about insurance companies certainly apply to this company : 'if there is somewhere in a policy that allows the insurance company to wriggle out of paying 100% of a claim then they will use that loophole'. Shame on Travelex. I chose this company because of their good reviews and I took out this policy in the belief that trip cancellation would be covered 100% - I was wrong. Will never use this insurance company again as it let me down just when I needed them.

I had a baggage delay on my overseas trip where I needed to purchase items because of it. I tried going through the claim process and found it so convoluted and complicated that I gave up doing it. It was asking for trip/flight information that wasn't easily available. I would of had to do some digging back in the states to find it. It was just a simple reimbursement of expenses I had to pay because of delayed baggage so it seems it shouldn't of been so frustrating to fill out the claim.
