Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
Upon receiving your review, we did contact Generali Global Assistance who researched their phone records. Please keep in mind that if you were calling internationally and did not connect, Generali may still not have a record of that call.
Here is Generali's reply:

Took just over 4 weeks (20 business days) to adjudicate. Website says 10-15. Called and emailed who they said was my claims agent 4 times ..Never heard by phone or email any updates.
It was eventually paid and had clear cause with over 3 hr weather delay and letter from Delta saying missed flight due to weather. Straightforward claim that was very delayed

I was so glad I did not need to use the insurance I purchased! Sure was glad I bought it, tho. As all my family & myself are older now, you never know when you will have to cancel a trip at the last moment. Thanks to Generali!

I bought this plan from Berkshire (first time) because it was the least costly. But I do think that for the minimum coverage which I requested the cost was a bit high.
Also the plans are not that flexible it would be nice to start with a basic plan and them add in the specific coverages that the customer would like.

Premiums for comprehensive policies are based largely on the length of the trip, the ages of the travelers, and the cost of the trip.

We had delayed baggage and had to buy a couple of days' worth of clothes from a local mall booth-vendor. All cash and no receipt. Based on the other evidences I submitted (photos, emails, etc.) Generali approved my request for reimbursement promptly. Couldn't ask for more.
