I didn’t need to use the insurance at all, but the coverage guaranteed was solid and the one time I called customer service to ask a question, they were quick to help. Overall happy with my choice.

If you read most reviews, they are written by people who didn't file claims. After spraining both knees and ankles, this plan paid a total of $95 for crutches and nothing for small additional taxi and uber costs, since I couldn't walk. The rest of my medical was paid for by New Zealand. When I called their service number, I left a message and didn't get a call back. I finally called their emergency number and was told to go to an ER. They gave me an address, which turned out to be a doctor's office (not open at 5 a.m.). The exclusions in this policy/company are ridiculous: Charge the maximum, pay the very minimum at all costs. I would avoid them like the plague in the future and will share this information as broadly as possible.

Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.
This insurance is a joke. My suitcase was damaged in transit. The amount of information required to file a claim is ridiculous, and a claim cannot be filed unless it is all received. For example, I no longer have a receipt for the suitcase, as this was purchased almost 2 years ago. It is a hard case suit case, and i cannot get an estimate for a repair (another required document), as the case is completely cracked and can't be repaired. The other information being requested is unobtainable also. Never again!

AIG trip insurance provided peace of mind on our recent three week trip to New Zealand. A few years ago I had a vacation trip interrupted and was very glad I had trip insurance which covered my expenses. I'm glad I didn't have any problems on this recent trip, but it was good to know I had coverage from AIG if I something unforeseen had occurred.

C&F Travel Insured InternationalWorldwide Trip Protector Lite
I was alone in NZ (7800 miles from home), injured and in the hospital. My daughter started the process with you and you turned it over to on call international. they were fantastic. Provided me a choice of flights, business class, home and arranged for help at all airports (wheelchair). My claim was processed and finalized quickly and to my satisfaction. Will definitely use you again (although I hope I don't need to:) and recommend you to others. I've never had to use travel insurance before (i.e. file a claim) and hope I never need to but I will definitely purchase it from you for all future international trips.
