Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
Thankfully, I did not have to file a claim so I can’t provide information rating the claim process. However, I thought pricing was reasonable for what the plan offered and signing up for the policy was fairly easy. I received prompt communication on how to file a claim if I needed, received necessary contact information, and all the documents I needed outlining my chosen policy.

We will not travel anywhere without insurance. For our recent almost month-long Viking Cruise in Europe, there was no doubt I would use Generali Global for a policy! We had planned a safari several years ago that was very expensive and we had to cancel a week before leaving due to my husband’s cancer diagnosis. We were thankful to have the insurance to cover our costs and it was an easy process to file the claim. We will always use Generali because we know unexpected events can happen at any point with a trip.

The coverage offered was very thorough and all of the coverage I needed was included for a fair price. So I am happy with the price I paid for the coverage I received. Since I did not file a claim, which is a good thing as I had NO travel issues, I can not comment on their customer service and how well they respond to filing a claim and how well they pay out on the promised coverage. I will use them in the future.

I had to cancel my trip due to illness, so I filed a claim. There was some confusion on what was covered, but once that got sorted out, they did pay for my cancelled flight. The problems with this company are:
a) They require notification within 20 days for all losses. This is ridiculous; most companies allow much more. If you have a loss while you are on the trip, you might not be able to make that deadline.
b) The claim submission website has numerous bugs. First it assigned my claim to the wrong policy. Then, halfway through the process, it got stuck in a loop, asking me to re-submit documents and then rejecting them because they had already been submitted.
c) They took 11 weeks to resove my claim, which is slow. One week was due to the confusion on what was covered, but the rest was their bureaucracy.
I won't use them again.

Generali insurance claims person has not responded to my phone calls today.
Before we sent claim we spoke to two people to make sure that we got a list of needed forms.
Were directied to their website which is very difficult to find what you need.
We had hoped that the company would provide a set of docs. They don't.
We wanted to get this right from the beginning.
We got a letter requesting more.
Tried contacting the case manager all day but she was unresponsive.
Anyhow we trusted you to broker a good product.
This company should not be part of your product line.
