Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
It is difficult to rate a plan without having to file a claim. I concluded that at 77 years, the probability of something happening to my wife or myself can only increase with each passing year. Having the insurance gave us added peace of mind prior to leaving. So that's about it.

The coverage on this policy meets my expectations. I have insured with IMG on several occasions through InsureMyTrip. Fortunately, I have not had to file a claim or use the insurance coverage so I cannot provide an assessment of my satisfaction.

I needed coverage and supposedly it was provided, but thankfully I did not have to put the policy to the test. That is the best case scenario. However, I would not have loyalty to AIG since I actually do not know what their service is like if I had to file a claim. The bottom line is that the price was high.

Thank you for providing your feedback. There are 3 main factors that determine premium costs: the cost of the trip, the length of the trip, and the travelers ages.

I still do not understand the waiver eligibility for prescription or annual medical appointments at the time of insurance purchase. I am still confused if I even got it or paid insurance for nothing because it sounds like you have to buy insurance before you make first payment?

All Comprehensive plans include a Pre-existing Condition Exclusion. Your Worldwide Trip Protector plan defines this exclusion as:
“Pre-Existing Condition means an illness, disease, or other condition during the 60 day period immediately prior to the date Your coverage is effective for which You or Your Traveling Companion, Business Partner or a Family Member: 1) received or received a recommendation for a test, examination, or medical treatment for a condition which first manifested itself, worsened or became acute or had symptoms which would have prompted a reasonable person to seek diagnosis, care or treatment; or 2) took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine. Item (2) of this definition does not apply to a condition which is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the 60 day period before coverage is effective under this Policy."
According to our records, you bought this policy on 04/12/2019 which was within 21 days of your initial trip payment of 04/02/2019, so as long as you met the following conditions, then your policy waived that exclusion:
"a) Your Payment for this Policy and enrollment form are received within 21 days of the date Your initial Payment or Deposit for Your Trip is received; and
b) You insure all Prepaid Trip costs that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions and also insure within 21 days of the Payment or Deposit for those Travel Arrangements the cost of any subsequent Travel Arrangements (or any other Travel Arrangements not made through Your travel agent) added to Your Trip; and
c) You are not disabled from travel at the time Your premium is paid."
InsureMyTrip is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and our customer care representatives are licensed insurance agents who are able to recommend the most cost effective plans which will cover the travelers primary concerns. If you would like to receive assistance in obtaining a quote or purchasing a policy, please call us at 800-487-4722 as we would be happy to assist you.
I thought I might ended up needing to file a claim because of a pilot strike at SAS. I spoke with an agent prior to my trip to make sure that was covered and how to proceed with a new flight to get me to my destination on time, if needed. The agent was very courteous and helpful.
