Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
I did not have to file a claim and glad I didn’t. I contacted customer service with questions as I have never purchased a policy before. They were helpful. Reputation of company is based on how they handle claims and provide transparency in their denial process. I got lucky this time

I was under the impression that if we had to cancel for any reason (which is the plan we had) that we could do so. Getting paperwork, countless emails etc. was not what I had expected. My daughter could not make the trip due to her job situation and her husband being accepted into the fire academy. Due to the shortage of nurses, she was unable to obtain the paperwork (tried several times) because her supervisor was so overwhelmed with the work load. Needless to say, it did not get done and we lost $$. When you advertise for any reason, you should not have to go through hoops to get paperwork etc.

The Cancel for Any Reason option truly allows you to cancel for any reason. The option does allow you to cancel your trip more than 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure date for other than a covered reason (which are reasons stated under Trip Cancellation in the Preferred policy).
However, Cancel for Any Reason does not mean that there is no need for you to file the necessary paperwork. All insurance providers including RoamRight will still require:
Claim Form,
Trip Invoice/Confirmation
Proof of payment and
Documentation showing any received or expected settlements, refunds, or credits.
However, you do not need to provide a reason to cancel the trip.

First time we ever filed a travel insurance claims--I thought it might be a grind, long delays and having to provide more and more documentation. Instead, I filed all our receipts, described our trip interruption and what we did to make our way home. Less than 2 weeks later, the full claim amount was accepted without our having to do anything else. Direct deposit is on its way. This is how insurance is supposed to work!

We had a 28 day cruise from San Diego and return.used Southwest Airlines for the flights and be booked hotel rooms before our flights. We had no issues with our travel's therefore no claims were processed. The travel insurance gave peace of mind during our travels that if a problem arose we had help available.
