Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
The plan I purchase was very good, the time limits that were in place are very reasonable, I knew that I didn’t have to worry about lost baggage or about my health, and it had protection for terrorist attacks, if anything happened while on my trip... and of course the fifty thousand ($50,000.00) health plan put my mind at easies, and this coverage was for the whole duration of my three month trip. I spoke with customer service they were very helpful, and they answered all the questions, and left no question unanswered. Thank you insuremytrip for your service. The three hundred ($300.00) dollars I paid was well worth every cent.

I had a medical emergency while on an Alaskan Cruise. Getting a response from the company (how to file a claim, required documentation, etc.) was kind of slow, 2-3 weeks to answer an e-mail, but the claim was paid with no issues. Nationwide had the best price for my needed coverage. Overall a great value.

Although I rated everything a five star I'm not really sure how the coverage would have worked if needed. However, when researching for coverage I found the information easy to understand and the representative that I chatted with was fantastic. Having affordable coverage put my mind at ease.

Airlines lost my wife’s luggage. Tried calling your service on a Saturday evening, after being on hold for 30 minutes, your service picked up, and then transferred me to another department. After being on hold for another 10 minutes, the medical assistance group picked up. So, I was transferred to a wrong group after 40 minutes on hold, and then was told that the baggage claim people don’t work until Monday. I gave up at that point. Our luggage did come in on Sunday, so I wouldn’t have needed a monetary compensation.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. The cost of the plan is based on the ages of the travelers, the cost of the trip and the duration of the trip. In the future, if you are looking for guidance in selecting a travel insurance plan, please consider contacting our office at 800-487-4722 where a licensed representative would be happy to assist you.
The "unthinkable" happened in England as I stepped off a train an hour before leaving for a Baltic cruise. I fractured my femur and, as a result, was transported to Ashford, England, where I had surgery the next day, plus an 8-day hospital stay. We had purchased a Travelex Select policy and my husband promptly informed the company when we arrived in the ER. The hospital accepted our proof of coverage without hesitation or demand of an up-front payment of any kind.
When I was medically fit to travel, the evacuation part of the policy kicked in. On Call Int'l., arranged for an very competent and caring R.N. to fly to England to escort us home. On Call made all of the air and driver arrangements from the hospital to Gatwick to home.
Regarding the claims process: I filed a claim two weeks after arriving home for the hospital bill and the nonrefundable trip expenses. The response was slow but finally the claim was paid in full, per the policy. The hospital system also was patient, realizing that it takes time to collect on insurance.
Observations:
1. My husband's lodging, meals, and transportation expense was classified under the "Trip Delay" portion of the policy with a limit of $750, with the remainder out-of-pocket to us. Most trip insurance policies seem to have a similarly low limit.
2. There was no explanation why the entire hospital bill wasn't paid at first. I asked Insuremytrip.com for advice. They appointed a claims advocate who quickly resolved the issue.
3. Having a policy with primary medical coverage, instead of secondary, was essential to avoid further delay and hassles.
In the end, we were happy with both the Travelex Select policy and also with InsuremyTrip.com
