Gratefully did not have any issues, so never filed a claim. Especially wanted the Medical Coverage because of foreign destination. Can not give any info on how IMG would have handled a claim, as we did not have one.

The night before the eclipse when my hotel was overbooked and I had no place to stay, and almost all hotels were full, I contacted Generali and requested that they help me find another hotel. They said they'd look for one and would call or text me back, but they never did. Their policy states on page 2, "Hotel accommodations: offers research and recommendations on hotels worldwide and book reservations if requested by you." I submitted a claim with proof of my call (incident #) and above policy quote, but they rejected it. They did not provide me the services stated in their policy.

I would not recommend this plan to anyone. They keep asking for documents that don't exist or cannot be provided, desptite providing everything that could be provided. Please avoid at all costs. They do not want to honor claims and want to make it as difficult as possible. Stay away. Not worth it.

The travel insurance provided very comprehensive coverage from a trusted company at a great price, compared to other providers. Very easy and efficient process to purchase the policy through InsureMyTrip. I did not have a need to file any claims, so I cannot comment on that aspect.
