I saved myself about $200. I was mainly interested in the Medical part of Travel Insurance, but the rest of the insurance is good to have also. Then on a hunch, I checked my Chase Credit Card and found that one of the benefits offered was travel insurance. I compared Chases free Travel Insurance with what was offered online and found it was pretty much the same coverage, only lacking in Medical Coverage. I looked up Medical Coverage and found that this company had a very low price with excellent ratings. I called them to be sure that it also included air lifting my wife or me to the nearest American hospital. The representative said it would cover up to $50,000. Needless to say we never needed it, but it felt good that an accident or illness wouldn't bankrupt us.

Felt we needed to have coverage for an upcoming trip that would give "Sudden Recurrence" coverage just in case something should reoccur with a pre-existing condition as well as other coverage we were interested in. The Global Underwriters International plan seems to fit just what we were looking for. My hope is that we don't have to use the insurance however it was an "instant peace of mind" as soon as I purchased it. Knowing we have coverage should we need it helps keep added stress out of our vacation. Since we have not left for our trip yet and have not had to use the insurance I gave four stars to "How satisfied were you with this plan". will rate again when we return and/or should we have to use the plan.

I really like the coverage levels available on the plan. We are retired now, so we are on Medicare. Although we are healthy, we feel we need insurance when outside the country. By choosing a higher deductible, the plan is a great bargain.

This plan stood far and above the rest, as it had no exclusion for pre-existing conditions. For anyone who has a pre-existing condition, such as an allergy, this should be a major consideration. I felt confident heading out of the country with this policy, and will recommend it to friends and family members. Finally, the customers who reviewed and who did use the plan had very positive things to say, which made me even more confident.
