I filed a claim for trip interruption (medical problem) for the cost of a new return ticket home. The online claim process was easy, and the paperwork burden not overwhelming. My dissatisfaction stems from the time it took to settle the claim. They waited a full 30 days to approve the claim. It's the cheapest plan out there, and they paid their obligation under the terms of the plan, but they sure took their sweet time to do it.

I was glad to have the medical coverage abroad in case of a medical emergency as it provided peace of mind. Fortunately, all was well the entire trip. Like having a fire extinguisher in your home, you have no intentions of using it but if you have to, you have it.

I am so glad I purchased an insurance plan even though I didn't need it. Because of possible storms and bad weather, I wanted to insure I didn't lose any money. Thank God I didn’t have to use it but it was nice to know I had it. The only thing that could make it better is having it in effect until you leave. If your boss said the day before, you can’t go, then it would not cover you.
