The most important tthing you need is the emergency evacuation policy, as most medical plans do not cover that. Second would be the trip interruption and/or cancellation.

First of all, we would like to thank you for the review. We did want to clarify that all Comprehensive Plans listed on our website include Medical, Emergency Medical Evacuation and Trip Cancellation / Trip Interruption coverage. Our Medical plans include Medical, Emergency Medical Evacuation and Trip Interruption but usually only for return air if you must return home early due to the death of an immediate family member or destruction of your home due to fire or a natural disaster.Feb 28,2016

Thankfully I didn't need to use the coverage of the plan, but I felt both the terms and cost of the plan were excellent. insuremytrip is a great tool to ensure you get appropriate coverage for good value. In addition, I called a couple times with questions; each time my questions were addressed thoroughly and knowledgably.

-Assistance was not available in the evenings or weekends when I needed it.
-I was aware of the 75% refund rate on my "Cancel For Any Reason" policy. It really wasn't advantageous to have this policy because the airline charged $200 to cancel the $659 flight and would have given me a credit that equaled 75% of the ticket value, I won't buy insurance again since it ended up costing me more to have insurance than just cancel the ticket.

We always purchase insurance when we travel. This was the first time we had to file a claim of any type. This was the first time we used RoamRight. My husband required surgery which necessitated the cancellation of our trip. The claim was processed with a minimum amount of paperwork and resolved in an expeditious manner.
