I had to appeal three times before $40 of my $120 claim for expenses incurred as a result of baggage delay was allowed. They didn't think the cost of transportation to get to a store to purchase needed clothing was reimbursable. People I spoke to on the phone had no authority to deal with the claim. The documents sent to me referred to me as "the patient" on what was obviously a medical insurance form. I think the claim was finally allowed only because I was stubborn and persistent.

Amazingly quick coverage with no hassle. We had to cancel the entire trip due to a medical emergency. Our entire trip was refunded quickly without any back and forth.

Had two issues on our trip. One was a flight diversion due to weather that caused us to miss the first day of our tour. The other was a medical issue that required a visit to a foreign medical clinic. Both were handled promptly with only minor hassle.

I purchased identical plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas vacations out of the country. Due to an airline mechanical failure I missed one night of my Thanksgiving pre-paid resort stay. The claims adjusters were very prompt in reviewing and approving my claim (less than $200) and I have already received the check. The airline covered hotel and meals because it was mechanical failure but if the delay had been due to weather, those items would not have been covered and the $500 delay coverage would not have been enough to pay for those items as well. It is just insurance and I was willing to self-insure for those incidentals. Before you leave the airport make sure to get the form from the airline certifying the reason for the missed or delayed flight. You will need it for your claim.

Price seemed fair, coverage was good. Typically the proof is in the pudding, if you don't use the coverage then you don't really know how good it is. But I did not have to use it, so I am satisfied with my interaction!

Since I never had to use it, I wouldn't know how good it actually is. Its hard to give 5 stars when you don't get to use it. But I'm glad I didn't have to use it as well. :)
