I was allowed to use this plan for a different trip after the original trip was cancelled. The pricing for the change, an upgrade to cost of trip total, was almost double what it would have been if I had bought the plan for the different trip from the start. I chose to keep the original value which waived any cancel for any reason and also waived the pre-existing conditions. Bothe of these items were not applicable to my need anyway. Their explanations were bogus and I will hope to never buy again their plan and have to cancel and use for a future trip.

Fortunately I found no reason for a claim in 2 months of travel. Occasionally I would look at my travel document and feel secure in the coverage , if needed. It is expensive to purchase. Partly due to my age, 78, I am sure. But, I will not travel outside the US without it

The most important use of the insurance, is the letter stating that I had insurance. Coverage is extensive; however, paying first & then seeking reimbursement is a method that I am glad I did not need to do. Thailand's hospitals charge non-Thais much too much money.

We had to cancel our trip because of illness. We were able to file all of the requested documentation by email and the claim was paid in about 3 weeks from the time I sent the documents. No hassle from the company.
