I didn't need the insurance this trip but 3 years ago we purchased it before our cruise. My Dad passed away unexpectedly, the first day at sea. We were reimbursed travel expenses to return home and 6 days of our 7 day trip. Very helpful customer service during this difficult time. I wouldn't book a trip without it! Highly recommend!

Because of the recent earthquakes in Italy, Insure My Trip sent an email with contact information, should we have any issues while we were there. We did not, great trip. But is was good to know that we had this insurance in our "back pocket" should anything happen. For our first big trip, I thought the coverage and cost were right on. Will use them again the next time we travel. From a retired U.S. Coast Guard member, was good to know we had this "life jacket" if needed.

Fortunately, I did not have to file a claim so I cannot comment of how well the coverage works if you have a problem. Accordingly, my ratings reflect only the stated coverage and the ease of signing up. I surveyed a number of plans and did as much due diligence as I could, and I concluded that this coverage represented the best for the money. The relatively few reviewers who had had to file a claim seemed generally satisfied with the service they received. The sign-up process was efficient. I expect to use C&F again, provided they continue to be cost competitive.

Very reasonable in dealing with the claim, and I have had to submit claims twice with this company- and all was perfect. A great product and very fair (and much better than what the tour company will offer you!)
