Due to a flat tire - I was late for scheduled diving trip in Florida, it should be covered under travel delay. I had all documentation. Generali refused to cover losses. I will never buy insurance from them again. You think you are covered, in reality you are not.

My only complaint is that when I tried to file a claim for delayed trip, I was put on hold for over an hour. I finally received a call back the day after and now my policy is expired. My flight got cancelled and when it was rescheduled I had to go to a different airport..that being said I had to take my rental car to the original airport and get an uber to drive us to LAX from Long Beach Airport. I believe I should have been reimbursed for the uber expense since it was due to the cancelled flight and change of airports by Southwest Airlines.

Knowing that winter travel along the East Coast comes with many unfortunate and unforeseen obstacles, I purchased travel insurance to at least reduce the inconvenience of such an event. I've seen too many news reels of people stranded in airports.
Thankfully I didn't need it, but that alone made for a wonderful and very memorable Christmas.
