We were quite comfortable working with this company. The only reason I didn't give it a higher rating is that, thankfully, we didn't need to file a claim. So a true test of how good it is, or not, would be in how they handled any adverse situation. But we would certainly come back to them for future travel should the opportunity arise. Thank you!

When we filed a plan for trip interruption, they did eventually pay but their communication was terrible (basically none) and it took longer than promised. The payout was less than half of what we claimed based on how they classified it so it wasn't overall a great experience. You can't say it was clearly wrong but it wasn't a very satisfying handling of the claim.

We do want you and your fellow customers to be aware that InsureMyTrip offers a Customer Advocate Program. Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.
So very pleased I purchased this plan as I needed to cancel my trip last minute and the only out of pocket costs I did not get reimbursed for was the cost of the policy itself!

I was shocked at how easy it was to get my claim processed. I thought there would be numerous "hoops" to jump through but settled quickly and hassle-free. I would definitely recommend and have already purchased again on my rescheduled trip.

I would recommend Nationwide for trip insurance for anyone. We did not have a claim on this trip, and we normally don’t. However, there was that one time my father was extremely ill, and his doctor said we shouldn’t leave the country. We did have to file a claim, and Nationwide was very prompt about reimbursement without a hassle. We’re very pleased with them.

We unfortunately were not able to go on our cruise due to a health concern of mine. We were able to sell our cabin to another traveler for $400 less than what we paid. ☹ï¸
