After realizing that a passenger on our cruise had a medical emergency and had to have emergency surgery at one of the ports, having Nationwide Mutual Insurance gave me peace of mind knowing this can happen at any time. I know that medical evacuation is expensive and would not want to be stuck with that bill. The cost out weighs the risk.

Due to an unexpected medical diagnosis and procedure a few weeks before our trip, we had to cancel our cruise vacation. In the many years we've travelled and purchased insurance, this was the first time we ever had to file a claim. We had to file the claim which entailed providing documentation from the doctor as to medical condition, cruise purchase receipt, and proof of cruise cancellation. We were reimbursed in full from Nationwide within 3 weeks from the time we filed the claim. I'm grateful that we purchased the cruise insurance from Nationwide and hope to in the future be healthy to again take the cruise - and would again purchase insurance from Nationwide.

Didn't have need to file a claim, but I was happy with the policy I was able to obtain. Online process to obtain and revise coverage (to add flight cost when known) was fairly straightforward. Only downside is I had to take out 4 diffferent policies for members of our party residing in 4 different states.

We had two incidents during the trip which might have been eligible for coverage by the plan, but both were successfully resolved. Nonetheless, it was reassuring to know that we would have had coverage if needed.

I bought this plan because of the coverage and price. Hence the 5 stars. Was it a good purchase? I think that question can only be answered once a claim has been filed. Fortunately, I did not need to file a claim.

I did not need to submit a claim. However, unexpected health problem occurred and I thought that I might have to cancel. The problem resolved itself before our departure, so no claim was needed. However, it was very reassuring to know that I would not have a total financial loss if I’d had to cancel the trip.

While we, thankfully, didn't need to use the coverage, it's always nice to have, especially traveling overseas. The policy was reasonably priced and covered want we wanted. It was easy to purchase as well as to compare the various plans.

I was very happy to try this policy for the first time and thankfully I did not have to use it. However, I will say that I was a bit nervous when I signed up because I didn’t get clarification on having the right coverage at every stop of my cruise. I only saw Honduras, but I went to Mexico as well. In any case, is selected you based on coverage and rating and will definitely use you again.
