In business since 1926, Nationwide focuses on providing the best possible service for its customers. Nationwide travel insurance plans offer a range of innovative benefits for a variety of travel needs.
This plan covered change of ports. I booked this cruise specifically for the port stops in st. Thomas and San Juan. Due to the storms, these ports were changed to far less desirable stops. I filed the required paperwork upon return home and was mailed a check for $1500 within a week. No questions asked.

This is the second trip insurance plan I purchased from Nationwide via InsureMyTrip. The first was for a trip we had planned ourselves for what was supposed to be our honeymoon to the Caribbean before Hurricanes Irma and Maria destroyed our lodging and we had to cancel it. We booked a new honeymoon to Austria through AAA/Collette Tours, and since Nationwide was so easy to work with and I was so satisfied with them after our first trip I purchased the same policy for our new honeymoon. Even better, the cost of the Nationwide policy was less than half the price of the insurance offered through AAA/Collette and the coverage was far better. I strongly recommend Nationwide and InsureMyTrip when purchasing trip insurance. We had total peace of mind on our honeymoon and I will surely use them again the next time we travel.

We purchased the Nationwide Choice Cruise policy before our November Caribbean cruise on Norwegian. 4 of the ports on our itinerary were flattened by hurricanes Irma and Maria. I called Nationwide when we got our new itinerary to inform them of the new ports and make sure we were still covered. I was informed that we still had full coverage for the new ports, and when our traveling companions called to report their itinerary change, they were informed of the pre-departure itinerary change benefit that was included in the policy. We filed our paperwork as soon as we got back from the cruise, and 15 days (10 business days) later, we each received a check for $750 for our "inconvenience". Since I didn't even consider it an inconvenience, and since we only paid $720pp for the cruise, I call it a win! Thank you Nationwide! You're the best! My only complaint would be that the representative I spoke to about the itinerary change did not remind me of the itinerary change benefit, but I fully realize that they are under no obligation to do so, and I just need to be better about reading the fine print in any policy I buy. I must say I was impressed with the time it took to get our checks, considering how many claims Nationwide must be dealing with after 4 of the most popular Caribbean ports were destroyed.
