Comprehensive policies are more expensive because they offer trip cancellation and travel delay benefits, which travel medical plans do not. Hard to assess since I never actually filed a claim and that is when you really find out about the policy. However it was easy to purchase I literally did this on my smartphone. Easy confirmation and e mail notification. Very efficient process.
