Of all the Travelex products offered on InsureMyTrip, the Travel Basic plan provides the most basic comprehensive coverage. It is a good choice for the budget-conscious traveler who needs basic essential coverage for unforeseen events that may arise before and during your trip.

This plan includes standard coverages such as trip cancellation and interruption benefits due to unforeseen covered reasons. It also provides benefits in the event that your baggage is lost or delayed during your trip. This can help to reimburse you for any necessary purchases that are made while waiting for your bags to arrive, or to replace those necessities if the bags are lost.

If your travel plans are delayed due a covered reason, this plan can assist in covering any costs for food and accommodations while waiting for your travel to continue. In order for this coverage to kick in, your travel must be delayed by 5 hours or more.

Benefits are also provided for emergency medical coverage and emergency medical evacuation services if you become ill or injured while traveling.

One thing to note is that coverage on this plan is First Payer Coverage, which means easy claims handling, less time and hassle to receive reimbursement for eligible losses from Travelex first, with no deductible. Funds may be recovered from your medical or other collectible insurance plans.
