Our luggage was delayed for 2 days, so this was very clear cut. AIG has a good website to submit all necessary claim details, and Insuremytrip customer service was very clear on which documentation we should have retained. My only complaint is that there was zero communication from AIG from the day the claim was submitted until 2 months later when the adjuster suddenly called me to clarify a few things about receipts, and I got a check in the mail (but not an email about the resolution status) 2 days later. I tried to contact the adjuster via email and phone about the status and never received responses. It would be great if AIG could at least set expectations for when the adjuster would have time to look at the claim.

I had a medical problem which prevented me from going on my vacation. When I called Global to cancel my plan I was told I had to cancel within two weeks of my signing up. I called over a month before my trip and was shocked by the refusal to cancel my trip insurance since I was not going on my trip and would not file a claim. This is bad customer relations and I will find another trip insurer in the future.

My plane was canceled at midnight on Saturday of Memorial holiday weekend. We called the company to see if we would be reimbursed. We were not covered for mechanical error however the person that answered our call went above and beyond (Bonita I Think was her name). She helped us book our flight thru the SAS German office when they opened. It was such an unexpected gift. Can't say enough to family and friends about thie help we received from an unexpected source. Thank You so much.

Very impressed with your company. We were stranded in Chicago when our flight was canceled at 11:45 p.m. Your representatives (Bonita especially)were very helpful in booking us a new flight by calling the German office for SAS at 3:00 in the morning to book a new flight for that
afternoon. SAS was not very helpful in Chicago. Thanks again to your representatives. Not sure we would have got to Switzerland without their assistance.

I bought the plan primarily for health cost coverage in Europe, and car rental losses. Upon receipt of the plan I discovered that Mercedes cars were excluded from coverage because they are considered luxury cars. In Europe, Avis/Budget rents a B160 Mercedes that is comparable to a fully loaded Toyota Corolla or a Honda Civic. I rented the car "class" because I drive only automatic transmissions. So I cancelled the car insurance coverage portion and promptly received a refund. For coverage I used my United Airlines credit car primary coverage, and I requested a letter describing the coverage from the credit card company to show Avis/Budget. No damage so no claims.
It all worked out well.

Great coverage. My luggage was so badly damaged, it needed to be replaced before returning home. I purchased a new suitcase, submitted paperwork required and in a couple weeks was reimbursed. Excellent service.

My wife needed medical care on our trip so I filed a claim for the InsureAssist TravCan Premier. There was a lot of documentation required and I had to also file with my medical insurance company first to get a rejection of benefit letter which took several weeks. After all documentation was provided, I received a check within two weeks.
