I've used Travel Guard for many years to cover my travels and have always been satisfied with both coverage and price. I recently checked into their insurance for an upcoming trip & was disappointed to see that they will no longer cover me for a trip to Italy. I have no idea why. Hopefully that will change.

My husband and I travel frequently. We have purchased travel insurance since our first trip to St. Petersburg, Russia in 1997. No issues, no problems with our travel. This trip, on a cruise, I fell and was in the cruise ship's intensive care unit for six hours, and then was disembarked the next day to get medical clearance to continue traveling on-board the ship. Fortunately, because of the outstanding medical treatment I received, I am able to write about this. All expenses were paid promptly by Travel Guard, approximately $6200 (seven days from receipt to issuance of check and one week from receipt to payment). Not only were expenses paid promptly, but I also had the peace of mind that they let me know that they would be taking care of costs and expenses. Travel Guard paid for my medical expenses offshore and advised me when they did. I highly recommend the Travel Guard Gold plan.
