AXA Assistance USA is part of the AXA Group, one of the world's largest and financial companies servicing over 95 million people worldwide, with over 60 years of experience in the travel insurance industry.
This travel plan was expensive and I have no confidence at all that if needed, AXA would actually help us or pick up expenses. I need to rethink whether I need travel insurance in the future.

We thank you for your comments. Policy premiums are based on (1) age of travelers, (2) trip cost, and (3) length of trip. Your premium was only 0.059% of your total trip cost which was actually economically priced when compared to other plans with comparable coverage.
We are also happy to hear that your travels were without incident so that you did not need the services of AXA Assistance USA. However, if you had needed their services, you had access to 24 Hour Worldwide Assist Services which would included but was not limited to:
Medical and Dental Referrals
Critical Care Monitoring
Emergency Medical Evacuation
Medical Repatriation
Return of Mortal Remains
Dispatch of Prescription Medication
along with AXA's "White Glove" Concierge Services.

We have always had a good experience with Insuremytrip, but then thankfully, we have never
had to make a claim and of course, that's when we find out if our insurance is any good.

My cell phone was stolen while changing trains in Naples Italy. We reported this to the ticket office and filled out a report but did not have time to get a copy. When I filed a claim for it, AXA wanted a police report which, being back in the states, could not be obtained. I showed them emails suspending my service with Verizon and having Samsung disable my phone. You can not talk to an adjuster just someone in customer service and they can only read your file to you. I paid over $600 for the insurance and was only asking to be reimbursed $175. BAD, BAD!!!

We are sorry to learn of the unfortunate instance that occurred during your trip.

"We appreciate the feedback you have provided. We are sorry to learn you weren’t completely satisfied with your purchase. Unfortunately, when filing a claim for stolen personal effects, a police report is required as stated in the benefit description of your policy. In the future, you may call us during your trip so we may assist you in clarifying policy benefits and with the claims process prior to incurring additional costs. We sincerely hope you will consider us again for future travels."
This is an industry standard procedure regarding stolen personal property with travel insurance.
