Like any insurance, one hopes it never needs to be used. This is the second policy I've had and, fortunately, I haven't needed to use either. I don't have a lot of money, so the expense of these policies hits pretty hard. But it seemed to be the most cost effective company of the ones I looked at, and since I booked six months in advance, it was necessary.

I didn't need to process a claim for my trip to Italy. However, just knowing that I was covered for important issues should I have needed them was very comforting and reassuring. All the staff was very helpful when I was purchasing a trip plan.

On the 10th day(AM) of 12 day cruise, on a shuttle, I had what seemed to be a TIA and was taken to a clinic, then helicoptered to an Athens hospital. It was determined I had asymptomatic pneumonia, both lobes, and anoxia due to that---blood pressures were up and I was retaining fluid.I was well taken care of in Athens, then flown home with a nurse companion. Travel Insured and On Call International took care of the details and kept in contact with me and my family. Everyone was so nice!
