Although we have used this plan before, we have never had to make a claim. But, based on reviews & cost comparisons, we have always felt that had we needed to make a claim we would have had no problems in doing so. That "peace of mind" allows us to fully enjoy our vacations.

Many of our flights were delayed. One required us to stay over night in JFK airport. When I called to ask about our travel delay benefit to pay for hotel, transportation, and food the phone representative told me there was no coverage if the delay resulted from airport construction. Upon repeated questioning she finally said we did have coverage. Other than this, the coverage seems to be a good value.

    Each policy will define certain Hazards that would be covered under the travel delay benefit. CSA states under this definition that any delay of a common carrier (including inclement weather) would be covered. For a delay to be covered at an airport, it must result from an airline or common carrier directly.

Fortunately I didn't need to use the plan but it was there in case of an emergency. Only wish they could be fine-tuned a bit more. I don't need medical but do need repatriation as well as coverage for tour costs.

not easy to reach office when out of country by cell phone and not easy to find a land line to call collect.
bags arrived late and I assume that if we had to buy clothes we were to have purchased them and then send you receipts upon our return? since I have not had to use the policy I am not sure how satisfied I would be.

    'We will reimburse you, up to the amount shown in the
    Schedule (200USD per person), for the cost of reasonable additional clothing and personal articles purchased by you, if your Baggage
    is delayed for 24 hours or more during your Trip. We will
    reimburse you up to the amount shown in the Schedule
    for expenses incurred during your Trip to locate/track your
    delayed Baggage, and to retrieve your delayed Baggage
    or to have your delayed Baggage delivered to you. We
    will also reimburse you for the cost to launder your clothing
    during the time your Baggage is delayed.'
