The one thing I requested assistance with was not provided, despite the fact that the CSA website said they could assist. I thought I had lost my passport. Based on my CSA plan documents indicating you could help with lost or stolen travel documents, I contacted CSA and was given no assistance or guidance whatsoever. After being bounced around to three different extensions, all the representative said was, "your policy doesn't cover passport replacement." No help with how I should solve my dilemma, who I should call, etc. Just a waste of precious time I couldn't afford to waste while I was trying to beat the clock to save my vacation. Why claim that you can assist with stolen/lost travel documents if you can't? You made a stressful situation worse.

We reviewed the case and the phone calls in question, and agree that you were not provided the level of service we would expect. Corrective action has been taken, and we are confident that this was a one-time occurrence.

    As a customer service gesture, our assistance provider will be reimbursing your plan cost. You should receive that payment within the next 30 days.     UPDATE: I'm very glad to report that CSA took the time to read and review my complaint and took corrective action to ensure others won't suffer the same fate. Their response, action to re-train those who dealt with me and the gesture of reimbursing my plan cost have restore my faith that they truly endeavor to make traveling worry-free. As such, I am amending my survey to indicate that I would (and WILL) use them again.

CSA Travel Protection allows one to enjoy a Cruise without concern. As an older traveler, I need the assurance that eliminates worry; especially with regard to health issues.

I would have liked the look back period for preexisting conditions to have been shorter, say 90 days instead of 180. Or, at least, give some optional periods, priced accordingly.

Depending upon a number of factors, these plans may or may not be more expensive than the CSA Travel Protection Custom plan. In the future, please call us at 800-487-4722 so that we can assist you in finding a cost effective plan that best suits your needs.

    The best time to purchase travel insurance is right after you put money down towards your trip. Some policies include time sensitive benefits which are but not limited to pre-existing condition waiver, financial default, Cancel For Any Reason and Cancel For Work Reasons. Most plans require that you purchase a policy within 10 - 30 days of your initial trip payment, and insure all prepaid non refundable trip costs to receive these time sensitive benefits.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
Airline mechanical difficulties at the airport for last leg of the trip, delayed flight by 1 hour, only because another plane was available. If this problem had occurred at the originating airport, where there was no other plane available, the cruise ship would have already sailed away. Having Trip Interruption coverage was worth the peace of mind, knowing that eventually we would catch up at a port further into the journey and have the costs covered.
