I found the emergency help process too cumbersome. My husband fell in Amsterdam and we took him to the emergency room at the hospital. When you're bleeding you don't have time to call a number to request a search for a doctor.

We went on the Mariner of the Seas, our 6th cruise, but first RC. Entertainment and service was great, but food was just okay. Bed was not comfortable. Surprised to discover that our balcony room didn't include a robe and standard lotions. Shampoo was in a wall dispenser. Also couldn't buy a bottle of liquor or wine on the ship for our room.

Have used CSA for a couple of trips and lucky enough did not need to make any claims so did not have to use CSA for claims but take out insurance for just in case.

We had no problems during the trip so did not use the insurance so have no way of knowing if the plan would have covered everything the way we thought it should nor do we have any way to judge the service provided had we needed to collect on a claim. Buying the insurance on the internet was a breeze.

My only complaint: three times CSA emailed me the PDF of my policy, and all three times the PDF file was corrupted/wouldn't open. (I tried with multiple different computers and different browsers.) Finally CSA had to postal mail me the policy. CSA needs to review their PDF software and ensure it is up to date and working correctly.

We purchased this plan to cover medical expenses/evac type issues for the non-refundable cruise and excursions on our trip, but did not need coverage for airline tickets, hotel, and rental car since those could be cancelled with no fee, reissued, or were covered by credit card benefits. The web site should provide guidance for people who only want to cover a portion of their trip expenses (e.g., trip start date is dates for cruise departure to arrival?).

Fortunately, I had a wonderful vacation with no problems whatsoever. So while I did not have to file a claim, I would highly recommend purchasing coverage such as the CSA Travel Protection plan. It's low cost, ease of online purchase, and great coverage, allowed me to enjoy my cruise knowing that if the unexpected happened, I would be covered. It was a small price to pay for what could be huge out of pocket losses should a problem arise!

The cost was very reasonable for the cover. It was good to have a plan and feel secure while traveling. There were two persons in our cruise that had a heart attack and needed to be transported out. Having this plan made me feel secure that if something happens to us we would be cover adequately. I will certainly buy this plan for my future traveling needs. Thanks!
