We did not have to use the coverage but I made sure it had terrorist coverage which seems necessary for travel today. Hopefully it would allow us to cancel if there had been an act where we were going.

It's hard to review when you didn't have to use it but at the same time I am glad we didnt. It is good to feel like you are protected while traveling.

The person who helped me understood my needs perfectly and made me feel secure. Fortunately I did not have to use the service but was glad to have had the option. I will certainly turn to you again if I have another opportunity.

These folks are great. I had never insured a trip before - why insure? I'd saved for 10 years for the trip, I was going. Then my husband was diagnosed with a rapidly progressing terminal illness. CSA processed the claim, refunded my money, over $8,000. Money that was suddenly needed for medical bills. Insure with these folks, it's worth it.

Not cool when I tried to make a claim due to an emergency before the trip, provided all the documentation requested and after spending a lot of money on this trip, turned around and told me my emergency wasn't covered. The purpose of me getting this insurance was because of the amount of money invested in it and the long period of time we had to wait to travel. No, I won't recommend this company to anybody and I will never use it again. Not worth it!!

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are sorry to learn that you were unable to travel due to an emergency. Trip Cancellation reimburses 100% of the pre-paid and nonrefundable trip cost if the trip is cancelled due a covered unforeseen event. If the reason for cancelling the trip is not a covered peril or results from an exclusion, the claim will be denied. Please call us at 800-487-4722 and request a Customer Advocate if you feel as if your claim was incorrectly denied. You can also contact CSA Travel Protection to receive further explanation as to why your claim was denied.Jun 30,2016-

It’s important for our customers to choose the correct policy to fit their needs. If there is something specific that you want to be sure is covered, feel free to ask about it before, during or after you purchase the policy. In this instance, your emergency was not covered. However, we do offer policies in which it would have been. the cost for coverage that you don't use is waaaay too much!! You should offer 20% refund if you don't have to use the coverage!!

"Thank you for your review. On average, a travel insurance policy costs between 4 to 10 percent of your total trip cost. In this instance, it was a little more than 4 percent, which is on the lower end. We are sorry to not have met your expectations. We always recommend considering travel insurance when you cannot afford to recoup the costs of your trip. It can make a big difference.
