I love being able to compare policies at one stop. But we regularly have to choose among plans that include stuff we don't want or need; would prefer an ala carte system. The cost of these policies has increased significantly over the last few years. This is possibly age related, but I think a good portion of the charge is for coverage we neither need nor want.

I didn't need the plan and that is about the best thing anyone can say about travel insurance.

I think it is very misleading that if you purchase something like your plane tickets on one day and select your travel package on another that they require you to have purchased the insurance plan within a set time from the first date you booked any element of the trip (to receive full benefits), rather than the last.

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. The best time to purchase travel insurance is right after you put money down towards your trip. Some policies include time sensitive benefits which are but not limited to pre-existing condition waiver, financial default, Cancel For Any Reason and Cancel For Work Reasons. Most plans require that you purchase a policy within 10 - 30 days of your initial trip payment, and insure all prepaid non refundable trip costs to receive these time sensitive benefits.

    One of the many perks of the CSA Travel Protection Custom Luxe plan is that the pre-existing conditions waiver and Financial Default coverage can be obtained prior to making the final trip payment (the biggest payment towards the trip).

My claim was denied because the doctor I saw was not considered a doctor according to them. Even though the dr I saw is licensed in my state.
