Well, it was nice to have the insurance, not that I used it, but, if I had had to use it, I'm sure my coverage would have been tiptop, the cost more than reasonable for the service received, the claim process smooth and troublefree, my satisfaction over the top, and my eagerness to recommend the plan to all my friends and relatives would have been boundless.

Travel insurance is paramount when you are traveling overseas because there is no way of knowing if or when an accident or injury will occur and the medical costs associated with that event can be very expensive. Having insurance to cover those costs at a reasonable price is just good common sense and well worth the expense and peace of mind. I tried to file a claim. The business I booked my hotels under informed me of their cease and desist order the day before I left for my international trip and I had to desperately look for hotel rooms. I was told it was not covered and was offered no help in finding new rooms. I am still trying to get reimbursed for the original rooms from my credit card company. Would not use this company again.

Luckily we did not need to utilize our plan but watching the plight of the Thomas Cooke travelers made us glad that we had a safety net. We will always protect our travel with an insurance policy because the world is wide and wonderful but things can go wrong.
