This insurance is a joke. My suitcase was damaged in transit. The amount of information required to file a claim is ridiculous, and a claim cannot be filed unless it is all received. For example, I no longer have a receipt for the suitcase, as this was purchased almost 2 years ago. It is a hard case suit case, and i cannot get an estimate for a repair (another required document), as the case is completely cracked and can't be repaired. The other information being requested is unobtainable also. Never again!

It was difficult for me to decipher what was covered and what was not.

The process to file a claim was not simple and seemed too complicted.

A proof of insurance card had to be printed out on paper instead of issued by mail on a durable card.

    In order to fully review what is covered and what is not, it would be best to review the policy terms and conditions. When comparing quotes, you will note that some items appear in blue which are hyperlinks to more detailed information.

    All of our policies include the full insurance certificate, which explains all of the terms, conditions, and exclusions for that specific policy. We understand this document can be confusing at times, and our licensed insurance experts are always happy to explain any part of the insurance policy.

    Every claims situation is going to be different. Please keep in mind that if an emergency arises, contact your insurance company as soon as reasonably possible! Each policy includes a claims phone number and 24-hour assistance phone numbers for both inside and outside of the United States, ensuring that you can get in touch with your insurer at any time.

    One fact that cannot be stressed enough is to save your receipts and proof of expenses so that you can be accurately reimbursed, whether it be costs due to a delay of travel for hotel or meal, or medical records for emergency treatment received. This is especially important for medical care received overseas, as it can be incredibly difficult to get this paperwork once you have returned home. For filing a claim, nothing is more important than having accurate documentation for your loss.

    Although the process may appear daunting, you must follow a similar process with all providers if you wish to file a claim. However, you can plan for a possible claim prior to your departure by keeping a file of all transactions for your trip.
