I had no claim per se, but needed help when my traveling companion lost his passport. Luckily I had a working phone with me so I called to ask "now what?" I was terrified because not only might I miss the cruise, it would be hard to get a replacement because I'm changing locations almost daily. The representative I spoke with seemed to be unsure - as if this the first time someone has lost their passport. She said she would call back with more information. Later she did but only said "I found out you need to locate a US embassy. There is more information I'm entering in your record so you should call us back for it." Why in the world did she say I had to make another call to get it??? Is she charged for the length of her phone calls...or monitored by how many calls she takes in a day....or what? The only good news is that the following day the passport was found and turned into the lost and found at the train station.

Unfortunately, my wife's father passed away two days before we were scheduled to leave on our Norway vacation. Fortunately we insured our trip with Generali Global Assistance and once we gathered and submitted the necessary paper work, we were reimbursed for our monetary loss within a month. Thank you Generali for your prompt attention.

Filed a claim after a flight was canceled and we had to purchase a last minute more expensive ticket on another airline. Generali paid the difference between the two tickets. They approved the claim in one day and we received a check two weeks later. My advice is to send ALL documents relating to the claim even if it seems redundant.
