The CSA Travel Protection Custom Luxe plan covered the situations that we wanted covered. We have never had to file a claim so we can't speak on that. One thing I would like to see changed is that you currently can only receive 70% back when using Cancel For Any Reason. I have used CSA four times.

Unfortunately my wife took ill and needed emergency care aboard the ship during our vacation. The ships doctor and nurse were terrific and when we contacted the insurance company they were just as good. We had to wait for our Medicare Supplement to handle their part of the claim and as soon as we received our E.O.B. we forwarded a copy to CSA Travel Protection. In a reasonable period of time we received our check. We're so glad that we took the insurance.

The cruise prior to our boarding had an out break of the intestinal virus on the ship that involved 80+ passengers. We had to wait a couple of hours to board the ship while they sanitized the whole ship. Thankfully we didn't hear of any cases on board the two weeks we were on board. While talking to other passengers on our cruise there were stories of past cruises where people were so sick that the medical people on board told them they really needed to get off the ship and seek medical treatment on shore. At hear that I was glad that I did have the trip insurance. I always buy the trip insurance and with the price of this policy I will check with Insuremytrip again.

need to offer insurances that cover everything if purchased when cruise lines require final payment not when first payment is made!!

When we received your review back on March 14, 2014, we wrote back to thank you for your feedback and to advise you that it had been passed along to management.
Well, two more companies are now offering Comprehensive plans on our website that provide the preexisting condition waiver and/or Cancel for Any Reason as long as you purchase the policy prior to or on the date of final payment. Of course, the CSA Travel Protection Custom Luxe, which is a very popular plan with our customers, is also still available.Feb 26,2016

This is the 4th time using this company and plan in the past 2 years. We are completely satisfied with their service and plans offered at reasonable prices. Although we have never needed to file a claim we are comfortable and secure knowing it is in place should we need it. I would not hesitate to recommend this to my family and friends.

1) It is only available within 10-30 days of your initial trip payment (depending on the policy).
2) You must insure 100% of your pre-paid and non-refundable trip cost.
3) Cancellation of your travel arrangements and notification of the insurance company must occur more than 2 days before your scheduled departure date.
4) Cancel for any reason returns between 50%-80% depending on the policy.
Included in every comprehensive policy, Trip Cancellation covers you for specific unforeseen covered reasons that cause you to cancel your trip. With Trip Cancellation, you are covered to cancel up until departure. Should you cancel, you will be reimbursed 100% of the prepaid and non-refundable trip cost for which you are insured and can provide documentation.
