My husband developed a severe back injury 1 month before our departure date, and as he was not able to travel, we had to cancel our cruise. I submitted the required paperwork and was compensated for all my lost revenue and non-refundable deposits. Was very happy with the plan and the way the company handled the claim. Customer reps were helpful.

I cancelled my trip to Hawaii, but was not able to cancel this insurance which made me very mad and sad. A waste of money for me, but a boon for you.
Sorry can not rate this insurance, but Nationwide is not consumer friendly. It stinks.

This policy came with a 10-day review period. The policy certificate states, in paragraph 3 of page 1, "All premium is non-refundable after a ten (10) day review period from the date of purchase in the event You have not incurred any claims during that time. In the event the premium paid for coverage is less than the required premium for coverage, benefits will be paid in direct proportion of the actual amount paid to the required premium due."
However, you may request to transfer this policy to cover a new trip. Please contact us at 800-487-4722 for the documentation required for this request.
Nationwide, as do most insurance providers, calculates their Compre-hensive Plan premiums based on the traveler's age, cost of trip and length of trip.
In the future, you may wish to call us for assistance at (800) 487-4722 when quoting and purchasing a policy.
A reasonable priced plan, but it pays only after any other insurance one might have has paid for many of the covered expenses-this is a secondary coverage plan for the most part.

Perfect insurance coverage for my needs. No wasted coverages, no wasted charges. Would certainly purchase a Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company Universal Cruise plan again and also recommend it to my family and friends.

This is the third time I have used this insurance. Luckily I only needed the coverage once. When I did file a claim the response was excellent. Great insurance at a great price. Highly recommend.
