I could only recommend the plan based on the fair price paid. Being that I was fortunate enough not to have the need to file a claim I cannot comment on any further issues. I will say the description of benefits was well described in the plan and can only hope that the company provides what it claims without any fine print issues, which normally negate claims afterwards.

I have used AXA on several occasions without having to make a claim, but on this occasion i fell ill while on a trip to China and had to get treatment.. i made a claim and it was dealt with efficiently and fully.. I will continue using AXA in the future.

It was difficult for me find an easy cheat sheet on my phone of what would we covered or to have a handy proof of coverage page for traveling. I ended up just printing some clunky email to take with but it wasn't smooth or convenient.

The purchase confirmation is a one page document which includes the purchase details, contact information, and schedule of benefits. A friend fell and broke her ankle. She asked for assistance in contacting airlines and airports to provide her with a wheel chair, no claim was made, no money was requested. Berkshire Hathaway declined request for assistance. No more InsureMyTrip for me or my friends.

We tried to investigate the call for assistance with our assistance team after you contacted us, however without your friend’s contact information, we don’t have the details of your friend’s request. It appears your friend may not have been an insured with a BHTP travel insurance policy. I can't verify how good the service was if I had to use it but under the circumstances I was traveling with peace of mind that they were there and I saw their offices while I was in Europe if I actually needed them! I would use their services again!
