I filed a claim to recover over $400 in airline ticket costs because the US State Dept issued a Travel Advisory warning for that portion of Mexico......I was denied and told that cartels bombing ferries in Cozumel isn't really Terrorism?????!!!!!!!!

Thank you for submitting your comments on your TravelSafe Classic plan. However, there are no travel insurance policies that will reimburse you if you cancel your trip due to a US State Department Advisory or Travel Warning.
In order for you to cancel your trip due to terrorism, the “Terrorist Incident†must be determined to be "an act of violence, that is deemed terrorism by the United States Government other than civil disorder or riot (that is not an act of war, declared or undeclared) that results in loss of life or major damage to property, by any person acting alone or in association with other persons on behalf of or in connection with any organization of foreign government which is generally recognized as having the intent to overthrow or influence the control of any other foreign government."
Although it is never pleasant to have your claim denied, please understand these policy terms are an industry standard and not limited to TravelSafe policies. Here at RoamRight we do offer a multi-trip plan that covers all trips taken within a one-year timeframe (up to a certain trip cost limit), but only trips 30 days in length or shorter are eligible for this coverage.
