Generali Global Assistance Standard
I was on vacation in Europe and was trying to find out if I could have coverage if I changed my plans of going to Barcelona because they had protests and could be a dangerous environment. I emailed and called CSA and insure my trip for coverage and they did not answer my questions. I did not have the resources while on vacatiOn and left me stranded saying that they could not give me an answer until claim is processed. Unsatisfied!

    The CSA Travel Protection Custom plan is a Comprehensive plan which covers a wide range of perils and hazards for Travel Delay and Trip Interruption. Unfortunately, civil unrest and protests do not fall within the scope of Trip Interruption for this specific plan.

About 2 weeks before our trip I spoke with a Seven Corners rep as I needed a claim form, He
was going to send the claim form by email. My wife was ill and I did cancel my hotel rooms but hadn’t canceled my cruise as yet . She did get better and rebooked the hotel rooms! We really enjoyed the trip

GoReady Insurance Choice
Even though we did not need to open a claim, the process was easy and I felt a good value to have peace of mind while abroad and using multiple modes of transportation while traveling across six borders. I was especially happy to have rental car insurance coverage of $50,000 and ample coverage for our personal belongings which would have been expensive to replace without insurance if they were lost by the airline.

On a one in a lifetime trip our family of six was without luggage for 5 days. We tried to make the most of it and didn't know when or if we would get our clothes and hygiene products back. We didn't purchase much to replace our things but we're later told we don't compensate for inconvenience just what you buy to replace. We learned!

    You did have Baggage Delay coverage on this plan under the following terms, which can be found in your certificate:

    'We will pay You for the expense of replacing necessary personal effects, up to the maximum shown on the Schedule of Benefits, if Your Checked Baggage is delayed or misdirected by a Common Carrier for more than 12 hours, while on a Covered Trip, except for travel to final destination or place of residence.
    You must be a ticketed passenger on a Common Carrier. All claims must be verified by the Common Carrier who must certify the delay or misdirection and receipts for the purchase or replacement of necessary personal effects must accompany any claim.'

Suggestion: Email JUST the contract # and emergency CBR tel # preferably within 5 days of trip start.
Then the customer can send it out, without all the paperwork, to their emergency contact(s).

AXA Assistance USA Gold
Didn't use the plan but gave us peace of mind about having coverage. When you book things about 8-9 months out or more many things can happen so we wanted coverage in case we had to cancel our trip. Also you can add things as you book them which I didn't understand to begin with. So as you add/book hotels or something you call up AXA and let them know and they add it to your coverage and you are charged a little more. Liked this aspect. Will use them again.
