My trip needed to be cancelled which should have been covered under the "cancel for any reason" provision that I paid for. I submitted all of the documents asked for and received a response that they were received. It's 2 months later and finally a settlement. The coverage may be OK for the price, but the customer service is very poor. Think twice about purchasing this plan.

Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection ExactCare Value
It is difficult to tell if we are satisfied with the plan when we didn't have to use it. But we are grateful we didn't have to use it. :-) I do wish for domestic travel there were policies that did not include all the medical and only covered those things we needed to cover such as unrefundable deposits and required pre-pay costs that were lost.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
Thankfully I never had to use it. Our flight was delayed, but we got a hotel voucher and food vouchers. We knew far enough ahead of time so we kept some clothes out of our checked bags. Hopefully I never have to find out if travel insurance is good or not, but I do like the piece of mind it gives me when I travel.

WorldTrips Atlas International
I go on 3-7 cruises a year. This is the 1st time in 20 years I've filed a claim on 2 cruises to Italy within 3 weeks almost a back to back cruise. I'll say this, its better to have travel insurance than not. However, in the event of a claim, customer service is lacking i.e. Italy train strike. Basically, find a way on your own to get to your destination and put in a claim later. 50/50 chance you'll get reimbursed some 4 months later. World Trips is not horrible just don't expect any prompt response. I'll find another insurance carrier next trip.

We have purchased this plan many times over the years, but never needed to file a claim, which is the real test of the policy. In terms of coverage, it was exactly what we wanted, but again, it was never tested.

Made a medical claim about 2 weeks after we returned, from onboard illness. Online process was easy. Claim paid within 10-14 days. Very satisfied!
