I thought the cost was reasonable for what I wanted, which was emergency medical evacuation, if necessary. The travel insurance that came with my credit card didn't provide adequate levels, but since I didn't have to file a claim I have no idea on how useful or effective the policy would be.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
I ended up rescheduling my trip prior to departure because a connecting flight was cancelled. The airline waived change charges and I was responsible for the minimal difference in fare for the new date. With the help of InsureMyTrip, I was able to change the dates of coverage for the new itinerary rather than having to file a claim and purchase a new policy.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
We have purchased travel insurance many times. This is the first time we have ever filed a claim. And what a great experience. I wish my normal insurance carriers were as good! When next we travel, you can be assured we will use AIG Travel Guard.

I purchased the plan in hopes of never having to use it ... and luckily , I did not have to use it. The only real way to find out if a policy is good is to have to use it- so I really can't evaluate the plan. However, if I need to purchase another policy of another trip - I would use your company.

Although it took some time to process my claim, I was notified every step of the way -- that my claim was received, that it was being processed, how much i would be reiumbursed (exactly what I claimed), and when the check would be sent to me. I would most certainly recommend April Travel Protection to any and all travelers.
