Generali Global Assistance Premium
Well, the plan should cover the rent car but Herz refused to accept this insurance... When I bought a plan I answer your questions - the destination. But in Herz they told me that they do not accept that insurance...
I am wondering if other items were covered. Good I did not need to use it...

What is the point in the service if the deductibles are going to be more than the bill itself.

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are sorry to learn that you incurred a medical expense while traveling. One of the main advantages of travel insurance is that it provides reimbursement of medical bills incurred as the result of a catastrophic, accidental injury or a severe, emergency illness while traveling. Sometimes, like in your case, a smaller medical bill does not exceed the plan deductible and is therefore out of your own pocket.

    Single-Trip Medical plans such as the MEDEX TravMed Choice Outbound plan, have a default deductible of 250 USD. Single-Trip Medical plans offer the option of decreasing the deductible by increasing the policy premium. The MEDEX TravMed Choice Outbound plan offers an option for a 100 USD deductible.

GoReady Insurance Choice
Travel insurance through April was affordable. Didn't have to claim (the best kind of insurance) so no idea how this compares with more expensive insurers who can be a real pain to work with, and who DONT pay enough to replace what you loose if a suitcase never arrives.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Plus
This policy had more of what we wanted than other policies and seemed more customer-friendly and considerate/ supportive. Glad we didn't need to use it but felt confident it would be good if we did.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Choice Cruise
I got the insurance mainly for the medical due to covering pre-existing conditions waiver. It also included compensation if the cruise line changed ports and I still went on the cruise. Cruise line changed the itinerary six months out, which happened just two weeks after I purchased the insurance. Contacted Nationwide to initiate claim, they promptly sent a form to fill out once the cruise was completed. The day I got off the ship, I sent the requested paperwork by email and I received a printed check two weeks later in the mail for the changed port compensation. I was very happy with the quick prompt service without any hassles.
